This in-person instructor led 8-hour course introduces you to the basic concepts of mental health awareness and how to use them when assisting with someone in need. In addition you will learn about the resources available in your community to help. Mental Health First Aid teaches about recovery and being resiliant. The program focuses the belief that individuals experiencing these mental health challenges can are able to get better.
What will I learn?
Just as traditional CPR and First aid courses teach you how to be that initial responder to assist with an emergency or accident, the Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis.
