This course serves as a basic introduction to the SMAW welding process. Students will learn the theory and techniques to properly set up and use SMAW welding equipment safely. Students will weld the common joints found in the welding industry in various positions on carbon steel. Students will gain a foundational knowledge of welding as it applies to SMAW.

This class requires verification that you are a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen. Eligibility must be verified before class starts.  Please contact us for a list of acceptable documentation or for any questions.

Please read:  Must be at least 16 years old to attend class, no exceptions. Make sure to wear closed toe shoes & pants. No jewelry can be worn during class. Gloves, helmets, and jackets are provided, but if you bring your own PPE there are lockers to store it.
