This American Sign Language (ASL) 8-week course introduces students to the fundamentals of ASL, including about 100 vocabulary terms as well as phrases related to customer service, and emergencies. Students will learn to communicate through expressive and receptive signing in everyday situations. The course also explores Deaf culture, history, and community values to promote cultural awareness and respect.  No prior ASL experience is required—just a willingness to engage and have fun!
