This course provides a practical introduction to blueprint reading for individuals entering the trades, manufacturing, or technical fields. Using Blueprint Reading Basics by Warren Hammer, participants develop the skills needed to interpret technical drawings, understand industry-standard symbols, and apply measurement and tolerancing concepts used in real-world environments.
 

What Will I Learn?

  • Interpret blueprint drawings and technical documentation
  • Identify and apply line types, shapes, and projection methods
  • Read and understand dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T symbols
  • Recognize standard hardware and fastener representations
  • Understand drawing organization, title blocks, and revisions
  • Navigate different types of technical drawings and their uses
  • Use industry reference materials to support interpretation
