E-mail & Polite Refusals Workshop

Have you ever sent the following e-mail? (Or one like it) “Hi, Everyone, Our company will march your pay up to 15% beginning January 1. Please join us on Zoom to discuss the details. We will “meet” form 9:00-10:00 in the morning. Be sure to share the news with fiends in your department.” Ronnie Ridicule Admin Asst – Accounting “One third of all [e-mails] are responding to a previous message that was not clearly written.” That is a sobering quote. Think of the time wasted through careless e-mails. Spell-check will not catch the three misspelled words in the above sample. “In the morning” will trigger dozens of responses asking, “Which morning?” E-mail has become the preferred method of communication in business, if not daily life, but if not used properly, can become hazardous to relationships and careers. E-mail is a silent form of communication. The reader can neither see you as you speak nor hear your vocal inflections. Physical cues are missing. The message is contained entirely in the words you choose to write and send. So, how good are your choices? Would you like to learn more? Come to CSI or “Zoom” our E-Mail and Polite Refusal Workshop. It will improve your writing skills and possibly strengthen your business relationships.
