This course introduces energy-based safety principles and their application within a manufacturing environment. Participants will explore hazard recognition, the energy wheel, and practical methods for applying energy-based safety concepts to prevent and reduce serious injuries and fatalities.

The course also encourages thoughtful discussion around existing safety KPIs, challenging participants to evaluate whether current metrics truly reflect risk and prevention effectiveness within their organization. Concepts presented in this training are heavily influenced by Matthew Hallowell’s book, Energy-Based Safety.
