Art 101

In ART 101 are designed to build essential foundational skills. We begin with basic drawing techniques, focusing on observation and hand-eye coordination through contour and gesture drawing. Next is a value study, where students learn to create depth using light and shadow. Color theory follows, introducing color mixing, relationships, and the emotional impact of color. In composition, students explore how to organize visual elements effectively. Finally, we apply these skills in a collage project, encouraging creativity and mixed media experimentation.
